The Mile

Elite Runners

At the Marathon Beneva de Montréal, our Elite program propels high-performance runners to new heights.

Over $61,000 in prize money and bonuses will be awarded to Elite athletes at the next edition. This year, two events carry special status: the Mile is designated as the Quebec championship as part of Athlétisme Québec’s Coupe Québec Route, and the 5 km is the Athletics Canada Elite and Masters Canadian championship.

Eligibility Criteria

Meet the required performance standards (see table below), achieved after January 1, 2024, at sanctioned events, on certified courses, with publicly available results. Equivalent performances may be accepted at the discretion of Athlétisme Québec.

Quebec athletes: must be members of Athlétisme Québec or Viens Courir.

Athletes outside Quebec: must be members of their provincial and/or national athletics federation.

Please note that meeting the standard does not automatically guarantee your spot. Our team carefully selects athletes.
